Texas Performing Arts

Serving both campus and community, TPA operates multiple venues on the UT campus—including Austin’s largest theatre, Bass Concert Hall—bringing world-class artistry to Central Texas.
Its presenting programs feature Broadway in Austin, the Texas Welcomes series of nationally touring artists, and a curated Performing Arts Season showcasing international theatre, music, dance, and cross-disciplinary work. In addition to presenting, TPA is a recognized producer of new performance, supporting local and national artists with opportunities to develop and premiere innovative projects.
As part of UT’s College of Fine Arts, TPA advances the university’s public service, research, and educational missions. Each year, more than 20,000 students from across the university and throughout Central Texas engage with the arts through its extensive educational initiatives, including master classes, workshops, internships, and performance experiences that connect learning with creativity.
With its dual role as both a major cultural institution for Austin and a hub for innovation in the performing arts, Texas Performing Arts shapes the cultural landscape of the region while training the next generation of artists, audiences, and creative leaders.
