Earth Day Austin

Historically, Earth Day ATX has been the largest sustainability event in Central Texas. On April 20th, 2024, thousands of people from the Austin Area and beyond will come to the Huston-Tillotson University campus to learn about conservation and sustainable solutions, celebrate our love for the environment, and get connected to the best and most innovative green businesses and organizations. With family and friends, festival attendees explore rich, in-depth programming, exciting new activities, and engaging exhibitions that allow them to discover new connections to the environment and environmental issues. Mother's Day Wildflower Run

This is a fun family event and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. The Farm opens early that day for the runners and there are a ton of things to see and do before and after the run. Gorgeous flowers will be lining the running paths as well as a food truck and mimosas following the event for the participants.

35th Annual Burton Cotton Gin Festival

Join us for the 35th Annual Burton Cotton Gin Festival on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 10am to 6pm. Come out to Burton, home of the 1914 Burton Farmers Gin, and celebrate the 35th Annual Burton Cotton Gin Festival! This is a FREE, family friendly event featuring a day full of fun and history! The day begins with a parade through Burton, and continues at the grounds of the Texas Cotton Gin Museum. Shop and eat in our Arts & Crafts Vendor Area, and Food Court. Watch Folklife skills demonstrations like Blacksmithing and butter churning, and spoon carving. Enjoy our Tractor, Engine, and Classic Cars on Display, and take part in fun Contests, and Games. Live Music begins at 11am. AND new this year, we will have two step dance classes 12:30-1:30 with Hill Country Two Step! Tours of the Burton Farmers Gin from 11am to 2pm. At 3 PM the Oldest Operating Cotton Gin in America will come to life, and a bale of cotton will be ginned.

Bluebonnet Festival

Always taking place the second weekend in April, the Bluebonnet Festival draws 35,000 people annually to Burnet, Texas. Bike the Farm Day

Bike through history at Pioneer Farms on Saturday, April 13. Featured will be two loops for cyclists — one under a mile, the other 2.5 miles — so bring your bike and enjoy the farm on wheels. The shorter riding loop will be on our paths, but the longer loop will include the paths, on mulch down by the creek, and through a mowed pasture.
